Brad Hogg's 1984 Dodge D150 Pickup - SOLD

On October 15th, 2007, I sold this truck. It was hard to see it go. I hope the new owner will take care of it and enjoy it as much as I did. I've replaced this truck with a 1991 D250.

One day I realized that I have so many cars but no truck. I bought this truck just as a way to haul stuff around. I found myself carrying lumber in my cars and that is not good. I needed a truck and this one came up so I bought it. It needs a little rust repair but otherwise, the 225 six cylinder engine and A727 automatic transmission work flawlessly and the truck drives great.

To get the truck ready to drive, I had to repair the following items...

As it turns out, I just love this truck. I've taken to driving the truck exclusively. I probably will drive it all winter and then get back into one of my cars next summer. I love having a truck that I can toss things into and away I go. The cap is great so I don't have to always tie things in etc. The truck gets about 18 mpg hwy so that's not too hard to take. I've been hauling everything you can imagine. I've towed parts cars down the highway using my tow-bar too. I once towed my 1974 Imperial down the highway at 60 mph with no problem at all. That was really amazing for a 100 hp slant six especially when the truck has a 3.25:1 rear end ratio. That little engine was moving about 10,000 lbs down the road that day. Very impressive!

I've also done the following projects since...

Have a look at this little slant six D150 tied to my 1951 Crown Imperial 8 passenger sedan! I pulled that big Imperial about 60 to 70 miles home from where it was stored. Given enough time to get there, 65 mph wasn't a problem.

Here's a pic of the truck with my 1976 New Yorker Brougham on the trailer.
