This car has been sold.

In August of 2004, I found this 1974 Imperial LeBaron Coupe for sale in a farmer's yard. We towed the car about 6 miles to my friend's parents' farm and left it there. The following weekend, with the help of a friend, we managed to get the car running and ready to drive home. The car was about 60 miles from my place. I bought a moving permit for $37 from the peoples' insurance company. We arrived at the 74 at about 10:30 AM. We had to remove the fuel pump to replace it because the PO said it was faulty. This was not the case however. The fuel line was plugged before the pump...probably the pickup. I wasn't about to effect a fuel line and pickup replacement in the field so I ran a gas line to the trunk where I placed the jerry can of gas. I put the gas line into the can and the engine pulled gas from there. I don't recommend this for safety reasons but I did it anyway. The exhaust was broken off just in front of the muffler so we broke the old muffler off to stop it from dragging on the ground. We got the big Imperial going and I headed for home. We had a fairly uneventful drive home and had to stop once for gas. The beast is now sitting in my driveway.

There were only 3850 of the 2 door hard tops made in 1974. The car needs some TLC and a few minor repairs. The worst of it is that the right quarter is a gonner. I like the 2 door style...very easy to get in and out of.
