Brad Hogg's 1951 Chrysler Crown Imperial 8 Passenger Sedan

This car has been sold.

The story of how this car came to be in my posession is a rather interesting one.

In early summer 2001, Wayne Davis of Dallas, TX asked if I would go across town to have a look at a 1951 Imperial that he was interested in buying. I live 1300 miles from Wayne so I decided to help him out by going to see the car for him. I checked out the car and reported back to Wayne. Since the seller wanted to move the car out sooner than Wayne was prepared to ship the car to Dallas, I offered to store the car in my driveway for the interim. About three months later, a truck picked up the Imperial and off it went to Dallas.

In February 2005, Wayne contacted me and offered me the car for what seemed to me to be a good deal. I considered the deal for a week or two and then put the wheels in motion to take advantage of it. On June 20th, I headed to Dallas with my 1977 New Yorker with trailer in tow, to retrieve the 51 Imperial. Ten days later, on June 30th, I returned home with this big black automobile. Four years after I first laid eyes on this car it is back in my driveway, exactly where it sat previously.

The car boasts such features as a 331 Hemi V8 engine, the first year for Chrysler's V8, Four wheel Ausco-Lambert disk brakes, electric power windows and fluid drive. I look forward to restoring the car to it's former glory so that all who see it can enjoy a step back in time.
