Floor board repair - welding

This is what I have to fix. I bought a MIG welder to repair the rust. I want to do some welding on my other cars too so I can make good use of the MIG even after this project is done.

I removed the seats, carpet and underlay from the car.

I cut out some metal patches from the left over hood from my T&C parts car.

The next step was to cut out the rotten material, at the same time, trying to leave enough material to weld the new panels to. I used my 4.5" angle grinder with a cutting wheel to remove the nasty stuff.

I cut patches from the old hood to fit, and ran some self-drilling screws through them to hold them into place while I did the welding.

This is what the right side looked like after I had removed the rusted material.

The rocker panels are also rusted on the under side, located beneath the rear doors.
