Things I've towed with my 1977 New Yorker Brougham

In short, this car is a beast. The previous owner had apparently been towing something heavy with it because it has a three core radiator, transmission cooler, Class III/IV hitch, electric brake controller, etc. I added my touches, Edelbrock Performer Plus cam and lifters, Edelbrock Performer 440 aluminum intake, Edelbrock Performer Link double roller timing chain and sprockets, Dynamax mufflers on dual exhaust, KYB performance shocks, transmission temp guage, etc.

The first load I ever towed with the car was a 1968 Chrysler Newport. I towed the Newport to Dallas Texas where I sold it to the guy from whom I bought my 1951 Crown Imperial 8 Passenger Sedan.

The second thing I towed was the 51 Imperial home again. The trip to Dallas was about 1500 miles each way.

Recently, I headed out from my home one weekend hoping to haul my 1951 Imperial home from the storage compound about 60 miles away. About five miles before I got to the compound, the truck's electronic ignition module packed it in. After much messing around I ended up bringing the 77 NYB to the rescue. I loaded the truck on the trailer and tied the whole thing to the NYB and headed home.
