Remove the door panels and dash pad

February 3, 2003 - Remove the door panels and dash pad

Tonight I removed the remaining door panels from the car. I removed the switch packs from the door panels and reconnected them to the wiring harness so I can more easily troubleshoot the electrical system. I removed and cleaned the dash pad.(it looks great!) I replaced the "Brougham" medallion on the dash pad. The old one was missing the crystal. I replaced the front right door's switch pack with one from my 77 NYB parts car. The original had a physically broken switch. Some of the window motors and power locks work and some don't. Some of the lights work and some don't. Fixing the electrical is going to be a long process. Fortunately, it shouldn't cost me much.

The "Brougham" emblem in the dash pad was in poor condition so I replaced it with one I had that was much nicer. It really looks great against the flawless black dash pad.
