Richard Arter's 1965 Newport Convertible

Here's some pix of my latest project. I bought the car 16 years ago, and could never find parts locally. I bought a parts car in California in January and brought it back, and in April started working on the blue car. I've never done body work before, but the guy who painted the '47 New Yorker let me move the car into his shop and taught me what to do. He still had a hand in the work, but I was amazed what I was able to do. Considering the fact I never even welded before, I think it has turned out pretty well. Granted, it's just a Newport and not a New Yorker, but...... Hey, they didn't build a convertible New Yorker in 1965 so that gets me off the hook!
